Honora is the voice of Rebecca Taylor, born October 1992 in Connecticut, USA. She grew up singing from her carseat, shocking her parents with a mature, powerful voice. She went on to study classical and jazz vocals, toured Europe with a children’s choir and performed on Connecticut’s main stage in Carmen the Opera before moving to Los Angeles.
A self-taught piano player with tons of vocal training, she decided to attend music school and learn production. In 2014 she released her first single under the stage name Honora, her birth name which was later changed to Rebecca due to pronunciation confusion.
Her music caught the attention of music supervisors and upon graduating music school she won the “Most Outstanding Style” award. Tearing Us Apart has been featured in shows on many networks such as MTV, ABC, FreeForm and BBC”
